Membership donation is for one year from the time you join.  Pubic meetings are September through June.  We adjourn July and August.

Since all our meetings and events are open to the public, consider your interest your welcome card.  Just start attending!  You will know after a few events if you want to support our society.

Membership benefits:

  • The only astronomy club in Philadelphia  that meets regularly in a planetarium;  the Fels (one of the nations leading planetariums). * The Society is currently meeting virtually on Zoom, monthly, until a safe return is planned for our members and guests.
     

  • Regular access, weather permitting, at our meetings, to the  Bloom Observatory on the rooftop at the Franklin Institute. Always a front seat view to celestial objects!

  • The location of our meetings at the Franklin Institute and our support of the Institute's activities enables us to attract an amazing professional array of guest speakers.
     

  • Access to dark sky Observatories at Muddy Run Park -  Special Members Only Events

 

Participation in the countries oldest astronomical society.  Members may contribute articles to our members newsletter and present at our meetings.
